A Neurologist is a doctor who specializes in the treatment related to the brain, spinal cord and nervous system.
The nervous system is a very complex part of the body. As it is responsible for the coordination of body activities. Its work is divided into two major factors:
Central Nervous System: it works with brain and the spinal cord
Peripheral Nervous System: for all other body parts such as eyes, ears, skin, etc.

Demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system
Headache disorders
Spinal cord disorder

Speech Disorder

Infections of the brain and peripheral nervous system

A neurologist never performs a surgery. If a patient under him requires a surgery then that patient will be referred to a neurosurgeon who will take it forward with the surgery.
